Auto Diagnostics & Repair, Auto Body & Glass
At Eilers Performance, we make sure that your tires are properly aligned to ensure maximum tire life. Wheel Alignment basically consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. A proper Tire/Wheel Alignment can provide the following:
Reduced Tire Wear – Improper Tire/Wheel Alignment is a major cause of premature tire wear. Over the years, a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to the life of a tire.
Better Gas Mileage – Gas mileage increases as rolling resistance decreases. A total Tire/Wheel Alignment sets all four wheels parallel which, along with proper inflation, minimizes rolling resistance
Improved Handling – Many handling problems can be corrected by a Tire/Wheel Alignment. With all the system components aligned properly, road shock is more efficiently absorbed for a smoother ride. If your vehicle pulls to one side, the steering wheel vibrates or you constantly have to move the steering wheel to keep your vehicle traveling straight ahead, you may need a tire/Wheel Alignment.
Safer Driving – A suspension system is part of our Tire/Wheel Alignment service which allows our technicians at Eilers Performance to spot worn parts before they cause costly problems while providing you with a much safer driving experience.
Exhaust Repair and Custom Bending
Your vehicle’s exhaust system is an important and often overlooked system that removes toxic exhaust fumes and gases away from the engine. When your exhaust system is working in its best condition, your engine will run smooth, there is a reduced risk of engine break-down, and engine noise can be reduced. Spent gases are pushed out through the exhaust manifold and exit out the back of the vehicle. The faster the exhaust gets out of the vehicle the more horsepower the engine will produce. This also has a direct affect on fuel mileage.
When the exhaust system is restricted it can noticeably effect the performance of your engine. This can be caused by a bad muffler or constricted flow through the manifolds. Eilers Performance specializes in muffler and exhaust system repair and replacement. As well as custom bending just about any size pipe to meet your exhaust needs.
Custom Exhaust Systems installed by Eilers Performance can greatly improve your vehicles power curve and fuel mileage over the existing stock system by opening up the flow of gases from the engine and balancing the vacuum produced by your original factory system. Preventative Maintenance is important to have a reliable, safe, and long-lasting vehicle. By regularly checking the important areas of your vehicle that are involved in its operation, we increase the likelihood to avoid costly mechanical problems later. It is important to follow the scheduled Preventative Maintenance recommendations in your vehicle’s owner’s manual and to follow the recommended servicing. Many of these things can easily be done yourself while others you might want help from a professional. Some of the items that should be checked regularly are:
- Air Filter: Check it every month, and replace it when it becomes dirty
- Battery: The fluid in your batteries should be checked regularly, and it is also important to check for corrosion that may exist around connections.
- Belts: Your belts should feel tight and should be checked on a regular basis
- Brakes: Check your brake fluid monthly
- Coolant: Your coolant should be checked regularly, and antifreeze should be used in extremely cold temperatures instead of water
- Oil: Change your oil about every three months or when recommended in your owner’s manual
- Power Steering: Check your power steering fluid level once per month
- Tires: At least monthly, check your tires for uneven wear and tire pressure.
- Transmission Fluid: Check your transmission fluid monthly
Following the above procedures with regularity will keep your vehicle running efficiently, and will help to avoid costly problems in the future.
